Welcome to DOSIMN 2008

The Centro Regional de Ciências Nucleares do Nordeste (CRCN-NE/CNEN), is promoting the 1st Symposium on Internal Dosimetry applied to Nuclear Medicine (DOSIMN 2008) which will occur at the CRCN-NE facilities, Recife, PE, Brazil, from April 08 through April 11, 2008.

Due mostly to the increasing use of radiopharmaceuticals in therapeutic applications, this first event has as the central theme "Therapy with radionuclides: dosimetric aspects" and will focus on methodologies for planning in therapeutic nuclear medicine; optimizing therapies through patient-specific dose calculations; and promotion of study and research in internal dosimetry applied to nuclear medicine in Brazil. DOSIMN 2008 will bring
speakers from other countries (United States and Italy) to share their experience in this important area with various influential speakers from various Brazilian states.
